Gerald Steinacher is the Hyman Rosenberg Professor for Judaic Studies at the University of Nebraska. He is the author of Nazis on the Run: How Hitler’s Henchmen Fled Justice, which won the Jewish Book Award, and Humanitarians at War: The Red Cross in the Shadow of the Holocaust
