“Talking about Eternal Life with Dara Horn”, a discussion with author Dara Horn

“The chilling pathos of Dara Horn’s Eternal Life is bound to turn every mortal reader into a philosopher of cosmic joy,” Cynthia Ozick, writes of Dara Horn’s most recent novel, Eternal Life, a book about the bonds between generations and purpose of life and death. Horn is the author of five novels. She received her Ph.D. in comparative literature from Harvard in 2006, studying Hebrew and Yiddish. Her novels have received Jewish Book Awards, the Harold U. Ribalow Prize, and have been selected as an Editors’ Choice in the New York Times Book Review. She has taught courses in Jewish literature and Israeli history at Sarah Lawrence College and City University of New York, and was a Visiting Professor in Jewish Studies at Harvard, where she taught Yiddish and Hebrew literature. She has lectured at over two hundred universities and cultural institutions throughout North America, in Israel and in Australia.
