Patricia Sohn (also published as Patricia Woods) is an Associate Professor of Political Science and Jewish Studies at the University of Florida, with an affiliation at the Center for Global Islamic Studies. Her interdisciplinary research explores the intersections of comparative and international religion and politics, judicial institutions, and the dynamics between religious and secular spheres. She specializes in micro-level political analysis and qualitative field methods, including political ethnography and in-depth interviews.

Professor Sohn's work has been supported by prestigious fellowships from the Social Science Research Council—through the International Dissertation Research Fellowship (IDRF), NMERTA program, and a competitive special-topics dissertation workshop in Morocco—as well as by the National Science Foundation. She has held visiting scholar positions at the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at Harvard University and at several international and U.S. institutions.
