Israel Institute Visiting Scholar
Or Honig was born and raised in Israel. He studied Middle East History at the University of Haifa, and later International Relations at the Hebrew University and at UCLA. He was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Calgary, and later worked in the following universities: Tel Aviv University, Duke University, Tokyo International University. He has published 22 peer reviewed articles and 3 book chapters on diverse issues such as: President Truman's decision to recognize Israel, the Yom Kippur War surprise attacks, the Israeli strategy during the Al-Aqsa Intifada. He is passionate both about his teaching and his research.
